MBA with Accounting Concentration Online Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting from a regionally-accredited (or equivalent) institution, or a bachelor's degree in business from a regionally-accredited (or equivalent) institution with a transcript showing completion of:

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 system) cumulative or in the last 60 semester hours of study

This course is an extension of microeconomic analysis to enterprises in the private and public sectors of the economy. Major emphasis is placed on the application of statistics and economic theory to decision-making in the firm. Backgrounds in economics (micro and macro) and statistics, as well as graduate standing, are required for this course.

This course is designed to introduce the student to quantitative approaches in business decision-making. It includes decision analysis, regression analysis in forecasting, linear and integer programming, transportation, assignment and transshipment problems, project scheduling, inventory management, simulation, and multi-criteria decision problems.
